The Ventas DE&I Framework
Our comprehensive DE&I Framework, developed under the leadership of Ventas Chairman and CEO Debra A. Cafaro, provides a strategic foundation from which we can make meaningful progress toward a more diverse, equitable and inclusive world. The framework is organized around four key pillars – People, Culture, Beyond Ventas, and Investment & Financial – and put into action via our formal DE&I Committee.
Embedding diversity, equity and inclusion throughout the employee life cycle, including in our approach to hiring, professional development, career progression and compensation.
Supporting and advancing a culture of diversity, equity and inclusion, embracing our employees’ unique perspectives and backgrounds and sharing our commitment to DE&I internally and externally.
Investment & Financial
Expanding our relationships with minorityand women-owned businesses (M/WBE) and promoting and supporting the DE&I efforts of our partners, vendors and suppliers.
Positively affecting society and strengthening our communities through DE&I-focused philanthropic and community investment efforts.
We have a long history of actively promoting diversity, equity & inclusion (DE&I), and we are committed to driving lasting change in our company, our industry and our communities.
The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) requires employers to submit an EEO-1 report on an annual basis. The report breaks down an employer’s workforce by race, ethnicity and gender across job categories established by the EEOC.
The data included in our EEO-1 report, which is provided below, is as of October 29, 2021 and, consistent with EEOC requirements, reflects our U.S. operations only.
The job categories in the EEO-1 report below are provided by the EEOC and encompass a broad range of Ventas job titles and levels. For reference, generally, the "Executives/Sr. Officials & Mgrs." category captures employees who are vice presidents or higher; the "First/Mid-Level Officials & Managers" category captures employees who are at the director or manager level and others in similar roles; the "Professionals" category captures non-managers in a variety of roles; the "Administrative Support" category captures executive assistants, coordinators and administrators; and the "Technicians" category captures lead, senior and maintenance technicians.
