Community Engagement

Community Engagement

Community engagement is an important value at Ventas. Through employee volunteerism, philanthropy and sponsorship, our company is committed to supporting those communities in which we live and work.

Since its inception, the Ventas Foundation has contributed millions of dollars to a broad variety of programs in our communities, engaging more than 100 organizations such as the Alzheimer’s Association, Chicago Cares, High Jump, All Stars Project of Chicago, After School Matters, and the Women's Sports Foundation in 2016 alone.

All Stars Project: Chicago’s Development for Youth Program

Ventas employees are actively engaged in partnering with the All Stars Project of Chicago’s Development School for Youth Program. Working in Chicago’s neighborhoods that have been hardest hit by violence, the program brings development opportunities to young people.

The Development School for Youth specifically targets 16-21 year olds and partners with businesses to conduct development workshops around key professional skills.

Most recently, our Diversity Network hosted a workshop focused on developing students’ speaking skills, reviewing best practices and giving students an opportunity to practice what they learned in small breakout sessions.

J.P.Morgan Corporate Challenge

For the past several years, Ventas employees at our headquarters office in Chicago have participated in the J.P.Morgan Corporate Challenge as part of a worldwide series of 3.5 mile runs. The event allows us to highlight wellness and fitness with a healthy dose of competition among our employees. The event is a great opportunity to network and have fun with colleagues and other companies in the city.
